Enjoy the opportunity to experience of one of the most widely renowned cultural elements on an international level from this region: Catalan cuisine.

From simple, basic food to complicated dishes full of various different ingredients, Catalan cuisine truly has something for everyone.  As well as this, Catalunya is well know for its various types of wines, champagnes and spirits which compliment its food perfectly.

Lloret de Mar cuisine offers a variety of traditional recipes with fresh fish and influence from areas around both the sea and mountains, whilst innovating and introducing new flavours to their dishes. Also you can sample German, Arabic, Argentinan, Chineese, Dutch, Indian ...

Tapas is also a good option. "Going for tapas" was originally done before having a meal, however it is increasingly common for tapas to be the actual meal.  Croquettes, patatas bravas, anchovies, olives, calamari, fried fish, ham ... are amongst the most popular tapas dishes in the region.

Gastronomic events

The Rice Gastronomic shows offer a wide variety of rice with traditional flavours from the region.  These dishes are created in a way which helps to release the natural flavour and qualities from the rice.

The Food Festival of cuina de l'Art is dedicated to creative cooking and its main ingredient is seafood. The name for this fair comes from a traditional form of fishing used in Lloret de Mar.

Another important gastronomic event is the Medieval Fair which is an ideal opportunity for you to buy and taste typical local products.
