Pineda de Mar still has visible signs of its past. Therefore, by taking the opportunity to look at the archaeological remains of Iberian and Roman civilisations and taking advanatge of Pineda´s modern sports hall, you are easily able to make a journey through the history of Pineda which covers about two thousand years.

Pineda de Mar is home to the Tharrats Foundation for Graphic Arts, which houses what is undoubtedly one of the best collections of this art form. The Foundation has a permanent art collection of graphic art teacher Joan Josep Tharrats, the founder of the Foundation as well other renowned artists such as, Miró, Tàpies, Brossa Guinovart, Clave, Ponç, Fontserè and Subirachs. Furthermore, in a nearby building which has a specialised library dedicated to the work of Tharrats and graphic art in genera,l you will find interesting exhibits belonging to artists of high prestige and quality.
