Enjoy the opportunity to try one of the most renowned cuisines in the world, Catalan cuisine.

From simple, basic food to complicated dishes full of various different ingredients, Catalan cuisine truly has something for everyone.  As well as this, Catalunya is well know for its various types of wines, champagnes and spirits which compliment its food perfectly.

A Catalan kitchen is traditionally full of seafood such as the "suquet peix", the various different types of mussel dishes, rice dishes, grills and the various sauces which compliment the food perfectly.  In the region, you can also sample a large amount of food from other parts of Spain such as tortilla, tapas, olives, cheeses...All of which can be accompanied by a good Catalan wine.

OUR SPECIALITIES ON THE TABLE

Some produce enjoys an excellent reputation with produce from Catalunya being no different.  Whether its strawberries, mushrooms, cherries, peas or tomatoes "Montserrat" is renowned for the quality produce it produces.  As well as this, the region is also well known for the sea shrimp, squid and prawn dishes it produces due to its seaside location.

TRADITIONAL DESSERTS

After a good meal, its always nice to enjoy a wonderful dessert.  Depending on the season, you may be able to enjoy high quality desserts such as "Buñuelos" and Crema Catalana during the festival of Sant Joseph.  During Easter week, you can enjoy "Tortell" and "Mona de Pascua.  As well as this, during the Summer festival of Sant Joan, you can enjoy "Coca" (A Catalan biscuit) whilst at Christmas time and All Saints, people can enjoy "Tortell" of the kings.
