ACTIVITIES AND FESTIVALS

Cultural Spring

From Saint Jordi until mid-June.  During this period, the municipal library, the Deprtment of Culture and various other groups organize a series of events during the weekend.  These events are arranged in a way that everyone is likely to have their needs met and include activities such as: lectures, excursions, concerts, exhibitions, theater performances, workshops etc.

Sardanes "Catalan dancing" Held every Sunday of the year, at the event you wild find various performers from the area performing typical, traditional dances.

Verbena de Sant Juan A popular festival held on the 23^rd of June.

The Santa Susanna fiesta This fiesta is held on the second week of August and is always well received.  Typically, this fiesta is full of dancing, fireworks, performances from local schools and children, and a typical Santa Susanna tradition called Esbart de Santa Susanna.

Traditional Catalan dance These dances are performed regularly on the promenade and other tourist areas of Santa Susanna once a week from May to October.  These dances are accompanied by a local brass band from a nearby district.

The Adifolk conferences are held every year on the 9^th of July.  This internationl folk dance convention is very renowned and attracts folk groups from all over the world.

National Cantalunya day The day begins by a wreath being laid in the morning at the Paisos Catalans Rambla.  In the afternoon, people enjoy traditional bread with ham and tomato in the Plaza Catalunya of the old town.

On the 26^th and the 28^th of December Esbart Dansaire is a celebration is a celebration which is made and organized by the Esbart Dansaire to remember Bethlehem at this religious time.
