Committed to the Responsible Tourism
As Aqua Hotel, we are concerned of the impact that human activity may cause on the environment, as well as on the social and cultural sphere. We understand that the touristic development should be sustainable. Therefore, it should protect the environment by making a rational use of natural resources.
One of our main aims is to improve the sustainable management, assuming the continuous improvement commitment in all domains of sustainability: social, economic, environmental and client’s satisfaction.
Hence, we commit ourselves to manage sustainably our activity and apply the principles and objectives stated by the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015, the COP 21 and the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +20.
In our process of continuous improvement in order to enhance the environmental management, we have reduced the electricity and water consumption, besides making headway on facilitating recycling for waste.
Beyond the sustainable commitment
We undertake to maintain and expand our partner network and service suppliers who opt for ecological products and encourage environmental certificates.
We stand for institutions such as Incorpora – La Caixa which integrates people who are in risk of social exclusion and organisations with vast social value like Caritas, so to strengthen our social engagement.
We sign up to motivate, promote and train our employees under a good practice belief and according to the Responsible Tourism. Additionally, we commit, internally and externally, to inform about progress and environmental actuations of our company.
Aqua Hotel manifests the express commitment to fight against sexual abuse or any other type of harassment or assault. Specifically, on children, teenagers, women or any minority. Likewise, we will adopt universal accessibility measures.
Future projects on expansion of facilities or any activities will be subject to sustainability criteria and efficiency of resources.
This Policy on Responsible Tourism will be updated whenever circumstances require, adopting and publishing, in both cases, the new sustainable goals.
