Our Essential rooms offer an industrial soul design and an avant-garde structure in a 25sqm space with views to the hidden Eixample. The essence of Ohla turns into a room for your comfort and enjoyment with all the essential services of the hotel.
The Design rooms offer what their name suggests in a space of 26sqm. Traditional ceramic is added to the blend of materials to offer more charm to the comfortable room. It has a rain-effect shower glass and beautiful views to Barcelona's Eixample. In addition, the Design Deluxe rooms have a private balcony.
Should you wish more privacy, we can cover the shower walls at no extra cost.
The Junior Suites are a reflection of contrasting design. A spacious and open 40sqm room with intimate hints taken care in fine detail. Light floods the entire bedroom as well as the clear rain-effect shower. Comfort and convenience prevail in a warm and inviting atmosphere of discreet luxury.
Our Atic rooms are located on the top floor and have an enviable terrace where you can have breakfast with views to the Eixample neighborhood. As in the rest of the hotel, both design and mix of materials are evident in the 36sqm room. The industrial structure blends with the modernity of the furniture in a space full of character.
The Suite is the top room of the hotel with the largest space, the finest design and highest quality. Located on the top floor of the building, the Suite has a large terrace open to Barcelona. The room combines the calm and intimacy of a secluded space, with the light and warmth of the Mediterranean outdoors. A large bedroom with a closet attached to a bathroom with shower and bathtub, and furnished with luxury components and high quality details.
The architect, Daniel Isern
The radical transformation of the building was a challenge for Daniel Isern who was tasked with turning the austere office structure into a warm and delicate luxury boutique hotel. His idea was never total destruction, but rather integration and restructuring, the rebirth of a new space and environment with fused touches of industrial architecture and the most avant-garde musical design.
“We chose ceramic for the façade, a material that has close ties to the city’s history and architecture. We also wanted to give this material an added value: music. With the help of Ceràmica Cumella and the IAAC, we invented an algorithm so that, based on sound, a robot would engrave the ceramic during the extrusion process. In this way, we created an infinite number of unique pieces, yet they all follow the same pattern”.
