Gastronomy is part of culture, it is design, art and work. Ohla Barcelona has its own gastronomic architect, Chef Romain Fornell, who hosts five different spaces, five senses. Romain Fornell was born in Toulouse, France, where he trained in culinary art. His hard work rewarded him with his first Michelin star in 2001, at just 24 years old. In 2002, he decided to move to Barcelona and accept the challenge of managing Ohla Barcelona's gastronomic offer.
There is very little from Caelis Restaurant to heaven. Its contemporary, Mediterranean cuisine with French academic roots raises us to that peaceful place. The person in charge of magic is Chef Romain Fornell, who achieved a Michelin star. The dishes show his roots, traditional cuisine and the most innovative design. His proposal is materialized in three tasting menus and the lunch menu.
Caelis Privé is the space reserved to live the gastronomic experience par excellence. A private dining-room with a capacity of up to 26 people where the worlds of Chef Romain Fornell are recreated in an intimate and personal atmosphere.
Our culinary team prepares and presents the dishes in front of diners who can also follow what is happening in the kitchen through a large screen. The immersion is total and complete, and the moment is unique and singular.
Topping it off, the chef has prepared a specific proposal for Caelis Privé (menus exclusively designed for this dining-room with different tasting options).

Defining La Plassohla is the same as saying freshness, trendiness, fun and casual in an atmosphere conducive to enjoying and sharing. The Ohla Barcelona tapas-bar cuisine faithfully represents the philosophy of the environment. A journey full of textures and emotions with both avant-garde and traditional hints.
The restaurant offers unstoppable views that, thanks to its large windows and daylight, allow diners to observe the bustle of the metropolis from the restaurant's calm and quiet shelter. To the other side behind the bar, you can see the hustle and bustle of the work and effort in the kitchen.
The kitchen is open from noon to midnight uninterrupted (the menu is reduced from 16:30 to 19:30 h).

Breakfast. No Rush
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and our Chef Romain Fornell knows it well. He has created a unique breakfast to enjoy sitting, placid, reading the newspaper and savoring every bite. We offer a complete buffet with local produce, fresh and varied.
Have breakfast to your liking thanks to our range of possibilities. From a classic breakfast with eggs, toasts and bacon; going through a lighter one with fresh fruit and cereals; or the typical Catalan breakfast with sausages, “pa amb tomàquet” (bread with tomato) and olive oil.
Rooftop
The perfect scene is achieved when you reach our terrace, have a drink and contemplate the beauty of the city. This pictorial setting grants an oasis of calm where you can relax and enjoy the panoramic views. The Gothic Quarter can be seen in all its splendor with the spiers of the cathedral standing out. Further away, in contrast, we find the modern Barcelona, all framed by the blue of the sea.
Whether by day or by night, going up to the Ohla Barcelona Rooftop is a privilege for the senses. The terrace has different spaces to offer, a stool area by the edge of the emblematic balcony where you can have a drink with a view; a privatizable chill-out zone that leads to endless conversations; tables and chairs distributed throughout the terrace where you can share some tapas. The terrace is dominated by the pool with crystal clear waters and glass walls. A landmark that offers snapshots of speechless beauty and a luxury of sensations.
The Ohla Barcelona Rooftop is the perfect place to unwind from the daily routine watching the sunset, have a drink with friends and live a magnificent soiree under the evening sky.

Monsieur Rouge
Monsieur Rouge is that place where you can let yourself be carried away by the palate and the sense of smell through the art of Chef Romain Fornell. At Ohla Barcelona's steak house, winery and Negroni Bar restaurant you can taste barbecued meats with a selection of sauces and side dishes. The menu also offers homemade starters and desserts. All accompanied by a cocktail menu, based on the famous Negroni cocktail, and a wide selection of wines in a friendly and carefree atmosphere in the heart of Barcelona.
